What is the Badass Human Race?
The Badass Human Race is a high-intensity, obstacle-packed urban challenge. Set in the heart of Downtown El Paso, you’ll face 15+ custom-built obstacles designed to push your grit, endurance, and mental toughness to the edge. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just looking to test yourself, this course demands everything you’ve got.

Time: 5:30am to 1:00pm
How long is the course?
Just over 3 miles, packed with obstacles spread across the city streets.
How do I register?
Head to www.badasshumanrace.com and choose your wave.
Can I join or create a team?
Yes! You can create or join a team during registration.
Are refunds or transfers allowed?
No refunds or transfers are allowed once the waiver has been signed. This helps us keep everything secure and in compliance.
REGISTRATION
Do I have to complete every obstacle?
No — but the point is to push your limits. Skip if needed, but remember: what you don’t conquer this year, you come back and crush next year.
What time do I start?
Participants are released in waves of 50–75 runners every 5 minutes.
Can I run with my team?
Yes — just make sure your team signs up for the same wave time.

What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving at least 1 hour before your wave.
Where do I check in?
The check-in and start line are located near 401 N. Mesa (next to Coffee Box). Look for the banners and tent setup.
What should I wear?
Sunscreen and sunglasses or a hat (expect warm weather!). Comfortable athletic gear that you’re not afraid to get dirty. Gloves are optional but helpful.
Can I bring guests?
Spectators are welcomed and it’s free to watch the action, check out event vendors, and hang out at the after party!
Will there be a place to leave my belongings?
Yes — we will have a secure bag drop station near the check-in area. You can drop off a small backpack or personal items while you run.
Cost is $5 per bag.
Please label your items and avoid bringing valuables. Items must be picked up before 1:00 PM.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes — all participants must have a signed waiver on file.
Will there be food or drinks?
Food trucks and vendors will be on-site. Bring cash/card. Water stations are available on the course.
Is there an after-party?
You know it. The official Badass After-Party is going down at San Jacinto Plaza from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
