What is the Badass Human Race?
The Badass Human Race is a high-intensity, obstacle-packed urban challenge set in the heart of El Paso. With over 15 custom obstacles, it’s designed to test your grit, speed, and mental toughness — no matter your fitness level.

REGISTRATION
How do I register?
Head to www.badasshumanrace.com and choose your category (Solo or Team).
Can I join or create a team?
Yes! You can create or join a team during registration. If you forgot to add your team name, email us your info and we’ll update it for you.
Can I upgrade my ticket (to VIP, etc.)?
Absolutely. Just email us at info@badasshumanrace.com and we’ll take care of the upgrade.
Are refunds or transfers allowed?
No refunds or transfers are allowed once the waiver has been signed. This helps us keep everything secure and in compliance.
OBSTACLES & WAVES
Do I have to complete every obstacle?
No — but the point is to push your limits. Skip if needed, but remember: what you don’t conquer this year, you come back and crush next year.
What time do I start?
Participants are released in waves of 50–75 runners every 2–3 minutes. Your wave time will be assigned and emailed before race day.
Can I run with my team?
Yes — just make sure your team arrives and checks in together so you can be placed in the same wave.
Why didn’t I select a wave time when I registered?
To keep things flexible and stress-free, we’re not assigning wave times this year.
Instead, we’ll be using a first-come, first-ready system. Once you and your team arrive and check in, you’ll be placed in the next available wave.
This helps avoid issues with traffic or parking delays so everyone can start strong — no pressure, no missed waves!
RACE DAY & warm up zone and start line
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving at least 1 hour before your wave. Warm ups begin at 6:30 AM.
Where do I check in?
The check-in and start line are located near 401 N. Mesa (next to Coffee Box). Look for the banners and tent setup.
What should I wear?
Sunscreen and sunglasses or a hat (expect warm weather!). Comfortable athletic gear that you’re not afraid to get dirty. Gloves are optional but helpful. Hydration pack = a plus.
Can I bring guests?
Spectators are welcomed and it’s free to watch the action, check out event vendors, and hang out at the after party!
Will there be a place to leave my belongings?
Yes — we will have a secure bag drop station near the check-in area. You can drop off a small backpack or personal items while you run.
💰 Cost: $5 per bag
Please label your items and avoid bringing valuables. Items must be picked up before 2:00 PM.

Come pick up your race bib, wristband.
Make sure to bring a valid ID or confirmation email for quick check-in.
If you're picking up for someone else, bring a copy or screenshot of their ID.
Beer will be flowing, music will be bumping — make it a vibe. 🍻💪
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes — all participants must have a signed waiver on file.
👉 If you purchased your ticket through Eventbrite, your digital waiver may not have been captured properly. In that case, you’ll be asked to sign a physical waiver during packet pick-up.
To save time, please arrive early and bring a valid photo ID.

Will there be food or drinks?
Food trucks and vendors will be on-site. Bring cash/card. Water stations are available on the course.
Is there an after-party?
You know it. The official Badass After-Party is going down at San Jacinto Plaza from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
